Since our last article on our online payments for dispensaries feature—which allows our partners and their customers to buy cannabis online, we only made it better, safer, and more unique than ever for dispensaries and their teams.
What Is Stronghold And How Does The Split Authorization + Capture Feature Work?
With the Stronghold Tymber integration, dispensaries are able to offer online payment options to customers wanting to pay during checkout—so, what’s new?
The newest feature added to our Stronghold Integration is the Split Authorization & Capture feature which now allows orders to be placed through the menu via authorized bank transfer (ACH) payment while allowing the order to be edited/canceled prior to the customer being charged.
Let’s dive a little further into the editing, canceling, and split/auth perks with Stronghold. If a customer wants to edit their order, change strains, or even if they forgot to apply their discount code, for any reason if that order needs to change, Tymber allows that payment to be edited in the POS at any time while the capture of the funds is completed at the fulfillment process.
What does this fix? Firstly, most other solutions, when they take the funds, and if an edit or change is done after, they need to do a whole refund and a whole new transaction. Luckily, Tymber's payment solution is fully integrated into the checkout screen so you don’t ever have to start over leading to a much higher adoption rate.
Redirection Fixes & Higher Conversion Rates With Tymber Features
Having this feature fully integrated into the checkout screen is a huge benefit. Typically, payment solutions want you to download a third-party app or pay via a link you receive by text. The Tymber solution will not redirect customers away from the checkout screen which allows for higher adoption rates and will not break conversion tracking.
Furthermore, adoption rates for most payment solutions on the market are between 10 and 30%. With full integration, adoption with Tymber becomes a much higher rate. For this solution, our partners are achieving up to a 50% adoption rate.
Unique Payment Options And Integrations With Tymber
To recap, the Split And Capture feature now allows your operations and fulfillment team to receive an order paid by stronghold and authorized by Tymber. Next, the capturing is split off when Tymber confirms the funds are in the account while the order goes through fulfillment. Now, if at any point, the customer calls in to change, edit, or add something to the order during fulfillment, Tymber allows the order and payment to be edited in the POS to be changed without redirecting the customer, refunding, or starting over.
